In the context of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data, we provide you with an overview of the processing of your personal data and your rights.

Sky Story, s.r.o. operates the website, which provides information about the services and products in the Sky Story portfolio. This page is used to inform visitors to and subscribers to our services about our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
Your personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with applicable legislation. We process personal data only with the client’s consent. When working with personal data, we are committed to comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. Act on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts.
Sky Story, p. r. o. at the same time declares that it treats the personal data of its clients in accordance with good manners and its actions will not circumvent or contradict the law and other general legal regulations, prevents damage, destruction, loss and misuse of the personal data database.

Purpose of processing

The personal data we require from you is necessary for the provision of the service and the performance of the contract. We do not require any information other than what is necessary. The personal information obtained for the above reasons is not included in the database for sending newsletters from us, it is used solely for the purpose of mutual communication necessary for the execution of the order.

The information we need to know in order to process your order correctly:

  • Name
  • last name
  • street and registration number
  • postcode
  • City
  • phone number
  • company name
  • ID
  • e-mail address

If you enrol on a course where we are required by the relevant legislation to notify the Transport Authority of your attendance, we will require the following information from you:

  • name, surname, title
  • date of birth
  • permanent residence (Street, city, postcode)
  • nationality
  • contacts (phone, e-mail)

If you already hold another licence, you may also:

  • type of licence
  • licence number
  • date of validity
  • type and number of the RTF certificate
  • the class and validity of the medical certificate
  • linguistic competence
  • total time flown and as PIC
  • the qualifications entered in the licence

The above data is necessary for the fulfilment of the notification obligation to the Transport Authority and will only be used for this purpose. The Civil Aviation Division of the Transport Authority ensures the performance of state administration and state professional supervision in civil aviation as well as the fulfilment of other tasks arising from Act No. 143/1998 Coll. z 2. April 1998 on civil aviation (Aviation Act) and on amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended, generally binding legal regulations, legally binding acts of the European Union and international treaties to which the Slovak Republic is bound.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with this policy. The personal data we collect is used to facilitate communication – sending informative email messages. We will not share your data provided for these purposes with third parties. The personal data will be used exclusively for contacting you. We will also include your data in the database after you have participated in Sky Story’s educational services if you confirm your consent to the distribution of the above information by signing. It is possible that Sky Story, p. r. o. orders services from other companies or individuals for the following reasons:

  • To provide our service on our behalf
  • Perform service related to our services
  • To help us analyse how you use our service

This is to inform our users that these third parties have access to your data. The reason for this is to fulfil the tasks that have been given to them by our side. These third parties are prohibited from publishing them or using them for any other purpose.
In addition to the above, Sky Story, p. r. o. declares that it does not disclose, make available or provide personal data of clients to entities other than those necessary for the performance of the contract. Necessary entities with whom the buyer’s personal data is shared include:

  • Slovenská pošta, a.s., with registered office at Partizánska cesta 9, 975 99 Banská Bystrica;
  • Transport Authority, Civil Aviation Division, with its registered office at M.R. Štefánika Airport , 823 05 Bratislava.

Processing time

We retain the personal data we process for as long as deemed necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (including as required by applicable law or regulation). In the absence of specific statutory, regulatory or contractual requirements, our baseline retention period for records and other documentary evidence created in the course of providing services will not exceed 10 years.
The Provider may retain the personal data of the Customer after the end of the original purpose, after the termination of the contract, for statistical purposes, for accounting or surveys, for the recovery and assignment of claims for the service provided to the Customer, for the exercise of rights or for the fulfilment of other obligations arising from the applicable legislation.

Right of access to data

You have the right to obtain information about the purpose and scope of the processing of his/her personal data.

Right to data portability

You have the right to data portability, if you wish to transfer your data to another provider, we will provide it to you in the appropriate format, unless other technical or legal obstacles prevent this.

You have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information at any time on reasonable grounds relating to your particular situation, unless the processing is required by law. In this case, we will no longer process or restrict the processing of such personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to erasure

You have the right to have your personal data erased without undue delay if they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or processed and the statutory or other related statutory reason for their possible archiving has passed.

If your personal data is processed on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, located at Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27. However, we will be happy if you contact us first in this case. We will be happy to correct any deficiencies found.

Data security

We value your trust, and for this reason we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect the data you provide. However, we remind you that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage of data is 100% secure and reliable and so we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
